English Hub at englishhub.fun helps learners practise English vocabulary with Bangla meanings. This policy explains the information used to provide accounts, learning tools, subscriptions and support.
Who operates English Hub
English Hub is operated by Syntax IT in Bangladesh. For privacy questions or requests, email info@englishhub.fun.
Information you provide
Registration and profile records include your full name, email, mobile number, country, gender, age range, learning level and selected subscription. WhatsApp and Telegram details are stored if provided. Word-error reports, reviews and support messages may contain information you choose to share.
Affiliate applications include a name, email, bKash payout number and referral code. Referral and commission records connect referrals with subscription activity.
Learning and account records
We record word reviews, learning and mastery status, quiz results, mock-test attempts and answers, points, streaks, activity dates, achievements and certificates. Account records include verification status, subscription activation and expiry dates, and access status.
Device security uses a random browser token, its stored hash, browser information and device activity timestamps to enforce account access restrictions. Passwords are managed by WordPress. Please never send your password, payment PIN or verification code to support.
How information is used
Information supports account creation and email verification, learning progress and revision scheduling, subscription administration, payment matching, fraud and account-sharing prevention, certificates, referral administration and responses to support requests. Transactional emails include verification, approval and device-unlock messages.
Account and subscription information is used to provide the service you request. Security and service-administration records help protect the platform. Where applicable law requires permission for optional tracking or marketing, that processing requires the relevant permission. You can ask the team to stop optional promotional messages; essential account messages may still be needed.
Information visible to others
The public leaderboard can display your account name, country and learning statistics, including points and streaks. Choose your display name with this visibility in mind. Approved reviews may display the submitted name, country, rating and review. Certificate verification can reveal certificate details.
Payments
Subscriptions currently use manually verified bKash transfers. We use the registered contact details, payment reference and any proof you provide to match a payment to an account. bKash handles the transfer under its own terms and privacy arrangements. English Hub does not need your bKash PIN or one-time password.
Cookies and browser storage
WordPress uses cookies for authentication and sessions. The qalc_device cookie can last up to one year, with a localStorage backup, to recognise the authorised browser. Referral links can set a 30-day referral cookie. Clearing storage may affect login or device recognition.
Microsoft Clarity is enabled to analyse website interactions using tools such as heatmaps and session recordings. Microsoft may collect interaction and device information and use cookies or similar technology. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Google Tag Manager is also enabled to manage website tags; the privacy effects depend on the tags deployed through it.
Browser settings let you remove or block cookies and local storage, although essential account features may stop working. Optional tracking controls depend on the tools in use. Contact us about tracking choices. See Google’s Privacy Policy for Google services.
Service providers and external links
Website hosting, email delivery, analytics and payment services process information relevant to their services. Authorised administrators can access account information to manage subscriptions and resolve support issues. WhatsApp, YouTube and Facebook links take you to external services governed by their own policies.
Some providers, including Microsoft and Google, operate internationally, so information may be processed outside Bangladesh. Their privacy notices describe their processing arrangements. We may disclose information when required by law or to address misuse and protect users.
Retention and requests
Subscription expiry blocks member access but does not automatically delete learning records. The current plugin has no general automatic deletion schedule for inactive profiles. WordPress includes personal-data export and erasure tools, but account deletion and removal of all related records require an administrator review.
We keep account and learning records while needed to provide the account and allow learning to resume after renewal, or until a verified deletion request is processed. Payment, referral and support records may be retained where needed for accounting, disputes, fraud prevention or legal obligations. Backups and provider records may remain until their normal retention cycles end. Contact us for information about a specific record. You may request access, correction or deletion; we will verify your identity and explain any records we must retain. Other rights and complaint routes depend on applicable law.
Children and changes
Learners under 18 should use the service with a parent or guardian’s permission and supervision. A parent or guardian should handle paid subscriptions. Contact us if a child’s information was provided without appropriate permission. We will date policy changes on this page and communicate material account-related changes when appropriate.
